Herschel was appointed as a Partner at Mazars in 1984 after having served as an Audit Manager.

Experience

Herschel completed a CTA course at the University of Cape Town and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 1979.

After qualifying as a CA (SA), Herschel joined Mazars as an Audit Manager in 1980 to be appointed as a Partner in 1984.

Herschel served as the Financial Manager of Mazars Cape Town for 10 years.  His roles involved the daily management of the Cape Town offices’ financial department, including a group of staff members.  With the expansion to a National Partnership, a permanent, full time Financial Manager was employed.  Herschel now focuses solely on his client portfolio.

Herschel manages a client portfolio which consists of clients of small to medium sized owner managed businesses.

He regards himself as a generalist, able to provide a variety of services to an extended client database.
