Norman Silbowitz

Norman was appointed as a Partner at Mazars in 1994 after having served as an Audit Manager for several years.

Experience

After completing his articles at the auditing practice of Hurwitz Lewak (later Grant Thornton), Norman worked in commerce for two years before joining the audit practice of May Fortes Tworetzky Cohen and Partners which then amalgamated with Baker Musikanth, now Mazars, in the late 1980’s.

 Besides qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA), Norman has a B. Comm degree from the University of Cape Town and a B.Compt (Hons) degree from the University of South Africa.

His clients range from individuals and privately held businesses to medium-sized entities. His area of specialization is in Sectional Title and the audits of Bodies Corporate and Home Owner Associations.

•           Sectional Title and related services.

Norman has attended numerous international conferences gaining valuable relevant knowledge.

Outside of work hours, Norman is involved in the community and currently holds the position of a Honorary Treasurer at a local Synagogue. He is the past Honorary Treasurer of a Specail Needs School.

His interests are current affairs, gym, gardening and sport in general.
